This is a picture of a game I wrote for MatLab which recreates the minigame Chocobo Hot ‘n Cold from Final Fantasy 9. Yeah, yeah, so its not a proper drawn picture; I still think it’s pretty cool. Of all the engineering disciplines software is pretty definitely what I’m interested in the most haha. I wrote this game in a day, but unfortunately unless you have MatLab installed on your computer you can’t play it since it isn’t a compiled language (I can’t put all the files into an exe and send it out). However for those of you that do have it (or who are interested enough to load it up on the computers at uni) the files can be gotten here. The code is all commented and might even give you useful ideas for your own project/s if you’re into coding stuff.

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010Heh, yay for photoshop. Even a really low quality cellphone picture can turn into something that looks kinda cool. ^^ I may have to re-upload this one when we get a scanner ‘cos I’m kinda sad to see the hatching go; though I’d have to crop off that munted hand there at the bottom (which doesn’t look so bad with this sketchy look ^n^ now stop focusing on it or you’ll notice how bad it is).
I like the folds on this one; particularly on the sleeve at the bottom. A few strokes are a bit off on the torso but I think it’s pretty good. I’m getting better…slowly. 
As predicted the matlab assignment posed no problem for me when I sat down and dedicated an afternoon to it; finishing it all up in about 6 hours total, maybe a bit more. This is good news particularly because the ProEngineer 3D CAD assignment is looking as daunting as ever. Man, design class is lame. xD And I still have to think of gifts for like 6 different people because its birthday season again (and Father’s day of course).

I finally set up The Realm emails and stuff. It’s pretty cool; I can make up to 50 inboxes, and I can receive from an unlimited number of addresses. Actually you could just as easily send an email to Hiro [at] TheRealm.co and I’d get it. ^n^ I also spent a fair bit of time coordinating all my different emails together to all pool into my one realm email service, so now I only have to visit one place and get everything from facebook updates to university emails. Yay for google making awesome stuff free.
Fail Friday 02
Friday, August 27th, 2010Heh, so…. two tests last night…. yeah.
I’ve actually done a little drawing but I still don’t have a reliable and repeatable way to get pictures up. Suck. I might see about getting a solution for my birthday or something hehehe. For now I’ll see what I can do. I still have to finish at least one of the doodles I have before I can upload them anyway.
The good news is that as of today 3pm I’ll be out of class for the half-semester (lol quartermester? xD)! Holidays are yay. Assignments to do and think about over the holidays are boo. 
Fortunately the matlab coding assignment shouldn’t be too arduous for me so I should be able to spend more time on the ProEngineer modeling assignment (which is going to be a real pain).
Hope you all have had a not-too-bad last day of lectures (or a not too bad last few weeks if you’re still in highschool ) and I’ll be back again on Tuesday.
Tricky Test Question
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010True story. Sorry, no real picture today. Scanner still down; and even if it was working I have too many tests this week to draw much. xD
Test today (Chem-mat) wasn’t too bad; but wasn’t good either. I didn’t quite finish, had a few questions left to guess at the end. Hopefully I’m good at guessing randomly.

Friday, August 20th, 2010The latest Final Fantasy 7 spin off hitting the shelves this summer! You may all think I’m crazy; but what if I know something you all don’t?
Yeah okay so maybe I am crazy. But this is cool if you’re looking for something techno-y to listen to.
I blame being tired and busy to the point of being on the verge of headache pretty much everyday. =.= Oh well; here y’all go. Lets hope next week’s four (FOUR!) tests aren’t too bad. xD

Yay this one turned out good. ^.^ Pity I still don’t have a scanner. I should really get around to getting a new one. xD Does anyone have suggestions for a good medium-home range scanner/colour printer? Nothing super expensive but not the cheapest one around… There are just so many options when I look. @.@ I ended up having to take a photo of it with my sister’s camera. xD
I called this girl Rin in one of my temporary saves; but the most popular name so far since then is Peach. What do you guys think; which is better?
Ahhh man, so much to do. I have tests and assignments coming up from all quarters (or is it quinters or something with 5 papers? XD ). I feel like I’m going to forget what I need to get done. >.<; I do know I have a Chinese Hanzi test today though. I hope it goes well; wish me luck!
I've put this picture as being collection-worthy but not super hardcore so I lowered it one dollar to $7 which conveniently puts me perfectly on the $50 mark of my bounty collecting.
